How did the PBJ TIMES come to be?

Birth of the PBJ Banana

The PBJ Banana started a popular emoticon. As the popularity of the banana grew, hundreds of variations of the image had been created.  Later on “Peanut Butter Jelly Time” became a Flash animation that emerged in the early 2000’s and became an Internet phenomenon. It is based on the song  by the Buckwheat Boyz. The best known version of the animation shows a pixelated dancing banana moving back and forth to the song’s repetitive chorus.

Meaning of the PBJ Banana

Why does the banana represents peanut butter jelly?  This question is incredibly easy to answer, however it usually take’s scientists there whole career to figure this out. I will now give it to you right now…(pause for suspense)… it’s random! The creator of the flash animation desighned it that way. It’s funny and random, but the banana is still a strong supporter and representative of peanut butter jelly.

How did the PBJ Banana find its way to the PBJ TIMES?

It all started in January 2007, when I was doodling after finishing a test. Then I began to draw random stuff, including the PBJ Banana. I showed my friend if he liked it and do you know what he did? He started drawing stuff all over the Banana saying “ Milk and cereal is way better!” and “I suck!” From that point on there were mini wars between milk and cereal, and Peanut butter jelly. Then I figured, “I’ll show this kid that I know how to win a war!” This is how it all began. So I began writing articles on the PBJ Banana the were humoruos and worked hard to think of proper layouts. When I was finished, out emerged ISSUE 1 of the PBJ TIMES! It was a great hit! Sold out on the first debue. Then the PBJ Banana himself called me and said that he would gladly sponser this newspaper in order to get better sales. I eventually got my own website and got better features for the newspapers. That’s how the banana and the PBJ TIMES came to this ultimate world of PB and J!
